Jul/Aug 2022 | Slip Casting Workshop (in person)

with Carla Sealey  |  Naked Clay Ceramics

Burning Bright Pottery Workshop

Curious about slip casting and how it works? This workshop is an opportunity for you to try it for yourself.

Carla will guide you through the process of slip casting a selection of functional items using porcelain slip (liquid porcelain clay) and handmade moulds. There’ll be an opportunity to experiment with applying coloured slips in a variety of ways to add colour inside and outside. This 3 hour workshop is suitable for all levels. Ideal whether you’re a complete beginner with ceramics or whether you’re a seasoned maker who would like to dip into a different technique.

You’ll leave your items with Carla to dry, fire and glaze. They will be ready for you in about 3 weeks to collect or have sent by post.
