About
Heiter Society | Katharina Geissler-Evans
In 2021, heiter founder & editor-in-chief Katharina Geissler-Evans felt quite isolated and overwhelmed by her new double role as small business owner and parent. Having a little one and trying to keep up with all her work tasks, she also found it hard to take out time for herself and the things she enjoyed. She therefore wanted to find a solution and create something that invited more 'Heiterkeit' (the German noun for cheerfulness/joy) back into her life. That solution presented itself in The Heiter Society, a community membership for female creatives and business owners who wanted to feel less alone and more heiter—just like Katharina.
The membership offers two levels:
Level 1 (the heiter moments level) fits everyone who simply wants to carve out a bit of time for themselves to get creative and try out something new. They can do so by showing up to monthly workshops on topics like yoga, painting, art therapy, ballet, and baking, but also sleep improvement and self-development. Regular networking sessions encourage everyone to connect and bond with other members.
Level 2 (the heiter business level) is targeted at the many small business owners and independent brands amongst the heiter community. Whoever is part of that level can benefit from everything Level 1 members do but also get gentle/heiter business support in the form of group consulting, anti-overwhelm business workshops, co-working sessions, as well as unique promotional opportunities through the heiter brand.
